Mobile Camp - ESA has a mobile safari camp that can be transported to and set up in just about any location in southern Africa. The camp can be used to support and accommodate any group of guests from film crews, researchers to students. The basic camp design is similar throughout, but levels of style and service vary according to your requirements.

Flexibility is our key word. We provide a logistical support service for many different types of traveller, many of whom are concentrating on getting a job done, but still want to be able to eat well and sleep in comfort at the end of a hard days work.

ESA can accommodate up to 20 people at any one time. Meals are prepared by an expert bush chef, who has leant to adapt any menu to the constantly changing schedules of film crews or researchers. We provide a continental breakfast with cereals at any time of the morning followed by a light lunch and a set three course dinner menu.

We use canvas 2.5m x 2.5m tents, that comfortable accommodate two people, sleeping on cot beds or mattress bedrolls. Long-drop toilets and bucket showers are placed adjacent to tents, while all tents are provided with re-chargeable electric lanterns and paraffin lamps. We have a main dining tent and two 5m x 5m service tents that are made available for storing filming equipment or organising field samples. Re-chargeable electric lights, allow for you to work late into the night, while a regulated 2.2Kva Honda generator provides power for charging batteries and equipment. The camp is fully staffed and we offer a laundry service.

While on mobile expeditions we have a satellite phone that is available to you to help improve the efficiency of your trip and to maximise safety. An emergency first aid kit is always at hand in the vehicle or at camp.
