What is Ecological Monitoring? – Assessment and inventory of the flora and fauna of any specified region. ESA provides a diverse and holistic ecological monitoring service.  The style, type, intensity and duration of the methods applied can be suited to the specific needs of each customer and the constraints of the local environment.

Our Service -

• ESA provides an ecological monitoring service for the photographic and hunting safari industries & the game and beef ranching sectors.
• We conduct aerial, ground and water based surveys in association with remote sensing and GIS analysis.
• Surveys can consist of
1. animal game counts, to estimate population numbers and demographic trends.
2. habitat and vegetation surveys to assess habitat condition, bush encroachment and to provide advice on correct veldt management and water provision policy.

These combined services can then be used to assess carrying capacity and assist with long-term management and economic objectives. ESA also offers a veldt maintenance service to remove alien species and bush encroachment, while we can also undertake effective fire control management.

Who we serve; Accurate and unbiased information is required by Government departments to help research, observe and monitor the impact of land-use changes on the viability of their protected areas and inhabitant wildlife. Private concession owners require on-going, accessible and easily interpretable ecological data to help effectively and efficiently manage their areas.
